Sikagard-907 W is a single-component resin , in aqueous phase, resistant to UV rays.
Sikagard-907 W has a double function: it protects porous substrates against water and oil stains, and stabilizes the sand joints of pavers.

Application areas

Sikagard-907 W is developed to effectively protect pavers and porous substrates against water, oil and other deleterious elements.
Plus, with its unique binding properties, when used on sand joints, it penetrates deep into the joints to stabilize and seal them.

It is suitable in the following places:

• Pedestrian spaces and sidewalks
• Terraces
• Car parks and ramps
• Walkways and patios
• Paving at service stations (subject to local regulations)
• Commercial areas, etc.

Sikagard-907 W can be applied on the following absorbent supports:

• Pavers, interlocking pavers
• Reconstituted stones and porous natural stones
• Concrete floors
• Washed flint concrete

Application

To stabilize joints and protect surfaces:

1. Apply Sikagard-907 W evenly to the surface to be treated using a watering can with a sprinkler head.
2. Allow the product to penetrate the joints for a few minutes before removing the excess with a squeegee.
3. When the application is made on uneven and/or rough-looking pavers, remove - where necessary - any excess product/puddles that may remain on the surface of the pavers using clean cloths.
4. Sikagard-907 W can also be applied with a low pressure garden sprayer.
5. Follow the same procedure as with the watering can.
6. If a second coat is needed for enhanced stain protection (oil, food, etc.), it should be applied before the first coat is dry/tack-free.
7. Use for the application of the second layer a roller with long hairs.

If only the protection of surfaces is envisaged (e.g. pavers without sand in the joints):

1. Apply Sikagard-907 W evenly to the surface to be treated using a long-haired roller.
2. If a second coat is needed for enhanced stain protection (oil, food, etc.), it should be applied before the first coat is dry/tack-free.
3. Use for the application of the second layer a roller with long hairs.

Consumption

Pavers with sand joints:
~ 0.5 to 1.5 l/m² for the first coat (i.e.: ~0.6 to 2.0 m²/l) depending on the porosity of the support, the width and the depth of the joint.
If a second coat is necessary, the consumption is generally lower than the first coat: ~0.1 to 0.2 l/m² (i.e.: ~5 to 10 m²/l).

Other supports without joints:
~ 0.2 to 0.3 l/m² for the first coat (i.e.: ~3 to 5 m²/l), depending on the porosity of the support.
If a second coat is necessary, the consumption is generally lower than the first coat: ~0.1 to 0.15 l/m² (i.e.: ~7 to 10 m²/l).
