SikaTop-121 - Pre-applied, multi-purpose surfacing mortar - Sika

Sikatop-121 is a pre-dosed, 2-component, high-performance hydraulic mortar for waterproofing , repairing and resurfacing.

Pre-dosed mortar comprising:

• Component A (emulsion resin)
• Component B (cement and special fillers)

After mixing, you obtain a fine and thixotropic mortar of gray or white color.

Application areas :

In preparation for funds:

In waterproofing mortar:

• SikaTop-121 surfacing can be used for the execution of thin waterproofing coating on concrete or mortar support.
  It can withstand pressure or underpressure.
• Waterproofing cellars, basements, swimming pools, ponds, drinking water tanks, etc.
• Realization of casings.

Application

Preparation of the mixture

1. Thoroughly mix all of the two components with an electric or pneumatic mixer at low speed.
2. Mixing must be continued until a homogeneous mortar of uniform color and free of lumps is obtained.

Filler and low thickness repair

1. Apply according to the traditional method using a trowel in a thin layer less than 3 mm thick.
2. Surface with a sponge, trowel or expanded polystyrene.

Waterproofing (SikaTop-121 Gray Surfacing)

1. Apply two coats of SikaTop-121 Surfacing 2 to 3 mm thick each, a few hours apart.
2. The first layer is applied with a notched trowel, the second with a trowel in the same direction as the first layer to avoid the inclusion of air, making it possible to block the strips and apply an additional layer of 2 to 3 mm thick. 'thickness.
3. The application of SikaTop-121 surfacing can also be done mechanically by projection.

Consumption :

Consumption depends on the nature and roughness of the support as well as the thickness of the layer applied.
