What is Acrylic?

Acrylic, or acrylic for short, is a type of plastic that is highly transparent and UV resistant. Due to its unique weather resistance and high wear resistance, it can be used in many ways as a glazing material. Acrylic, also known as plexiglass, is 25 times stronger than glass, making it much less likely to break.

Acrylic resins are generally water-based and odorless materials, supplied as a liquid, paste or powder. Acrylic resins can be used universally and can be diluted or cleaned up with water.
