SikaCem Color - Colouring agent for mortar, lime and plaster - Sika

SikaCem Color is a powder dye made up of mineral oxides.

Features

• Synthetic dyes based on mineral iron oxides.

Application areas

Coloring of concrete and cement-based mortars:

• screed mortars
• jointing mortars
• concrete slabs
• all aesthetic concretes

Coloring of lime or plaster-based coatings:

• The regularity of the color depends on the regularity of the dosages of the constituents of the mortar or concrete (binder, water, aggregates, additives and colorant).
• Atmospheric conditions at the time of setting and hardening can influence the color of mortars and concretes, in particular at low temperature and high humidity (phenomenon of carbonation of coatings).

Application

1. Incorporate the colorant into the binder and aggregate dry mix.
2. Mix well before adding water.
3. The standard rules for concreting, concerning production as well as placement, must be observed.
4. Refer to the standards in force. Fresh concrete must be properly protected until it hardens.

Consumption

Consumption is 1 to 2 doses per 50 kg bag of binder.
A trial run is always recommended.

The dosage of SikaCem Color dyes is to be adapted according to the following parameters:

• Desired color
• Color and dosage of the different constituents (binder, aggregate, etc.)
