Sikafloor®-264 Plus self-leveling epoxy resin is a solvent-free, two-component floor coating designed to create smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. It offers excellent mechanical and chemical resistance and can be applied to concrete or cementitious screeds . Used in workshops, warehouses, parking lots , and production areas, it provides a self-leveling or anti-slip finish depending on the chosen system.

Instructions for use

  1. Preparing the support

    • The surface must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, oil, laitance or loose particles.
    • The cementitious support must have a compressive strength ≥ 25 N/mm² and a tensile strength ≥ 1.5 N/mm² .
    • Mechanically prepare the surface (shot blasting, sanding, milling) to obtain an open texture with fine pores.
    • Repair cracks and irregularities with a suitable resin (e.g. Sikadur® ).
  2. Implementation conditions

    • Application temperature: +10 °C to +30 °C .
    • Relative humidity of the air: maximum 80% .
    • The substrate and the product must be at least 3°C above the dew point to avoid condensation.
  3. Application

    • Mix components A and B thoroughly according to the mixing ratio (≈ 80:20 by weight ).
    • Apply the product to the floor using a squeegee or a notched trowel depending on the desired thickness.
    • Immediate de-airing with a spiked roller .
    • For a non-slip finish, sprinkle with quartz sand until saturated.
  4. Hardening

    • Lifespan of the mixture : approx. 25 min at +20 °C.
    • Pedestrian traffic possible after approx. 24 h at +20 °C.
    • Complete hardening after approx. 5 days at +20 °C.
  5. Cleaning

    • Clean tools immediately after use with Sika Thinner C or a suitable solvent.
    • Once hardened, the product can only be removed mechanically.

  1. Is Sikafloor-264 Plus suitable for a private garage?
    Yes, it's perfectly suited. It's resistant to hot tires, oils, fuels, and abrasion. It's widely used in premium residential garages.
  2. Can it be used outdoors?
    No, this product is designed for indoor use. Outdoors, UV rays will alter the appearance of the coating.
  3. What media are compatible?
    Concrete, mortar, epoxy, well-prepared slabs. It always requires a suitable Sika primer.
  4. Is the application difficult?
    This is a professional-grade product. Proper mixing, temperature control, and surface preparation are essential. A professional applicator is recommended for large areas.
  5. Can it be made non-slip?
    Yes, simply sprinkle quartz into the first layer, then cover with Sikafloor-264 Plus.
  6. How long before it is put back into service?
    Pedestrians, 24h. Moderate loads, 48–72h. Maximum load, 7 days.
  7. Does the product turn yellow?
    Like all epoxy resins, it may yellow slightly over time in areas exposed to light. For better UV resistance, a polyurethane varnish can be added.
  8. Is it compatible with underfloor heating?
    Yes, as long as the temperature does not exceed 30°C during application and the heating is switched off and then switched back on gradually.
