Egalcol M10 - Laying mortar - PTB Compaktuna

Egalcol M10 is a ready-to-use dry mortar , composed of cleaned and sieved sand , cement and additives of exceptional quality.

Features :

• Traditional tiling work both indoors and outdoors: for mortar-bath sealing of floor tiles on a bed of fresh stabilized sand or mortar-bath sealing on hard support.
• Suitable for installing thresholds, window sills, plinths, etc.
  This light, greasy mortar can be used to place wall tiles in a mortar bed and to level walls before tiling.

• In addition to very good workability and high adhesion, EGALCOL M10 has the property that after being mixed with water, the mortar remains homogeneous (there is no water on the mortar).
• Very suitable for the placement of natural stone such as marble, French stone, etc.
• To improve adhesion, flexibility and durability, it is recommended to mix EGALCOL M10 with an existing mixing liquid of 1 part COMPAKTUNA and 3 parts water.
  As such, it must be applied for the installation of non-absorbent materials, stairs, thresholds and other tiles subjected to high loads.

Support

1. The application will always be carried out on a raw, clean, healthy surface, free of dust, traces of oil and loose particles.
   The absorbent supports will first be moistened or treated with a solution of COMPAKTUNA (PRO) /water (1/4) or with PRIMER PO .
2. On a hardened support, an adhesion layer is applied.
   This adhesion layer is made up of 1 volume of COMPAKTUNA (PRO) and 2 volumes of pure water, to be mixed beforehand, to which a dry mixture of half cement and half coarse Rhine sand is added until the obtaining a thick slip that is still applicable.
3. On the walls, the adhesive layer is allowed to set before continuing the work.

Application

1. Prepared with ±10% to 16% water, i.e. 2.5 L to 4 L of water per 25 kg bag depending on the desired consistency.
2. Mix everything intensively with a slow mixer for 3 minutes until you obtain a homogeneous laying and leveling mortar without lumps.
3. Now, we can apply the EGALCOL M10 to the support.
4. Place the tile in the bed of fresh mortar and press.
5. For large format tiles it is advisable to comb the laying mortar with a notched spatula to obtain optimal contact with the mortar, if necessary apply double gluing
