Putzuna HY - Waterproof plaster - PTB Compaktuna

Putzuna HY is a dry cement -based coating , ready to use and with very high waterproofing , suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

• Used to waterproof cellars, water collectors, observation wells, swimming pools, foundation walls, showers, etc. and to level vertical surfaces (masonry, concrete constructions).

Manual :

Support:

1. The application will always be made on a raw, clean, healthy support, free of dust, traces of oil and loose particles and which has sufficient lift. The absorbent supports will first be moistened or treated with a COMPAKTUNA /water solution. (1/4) or with PRIMER PO .
2. Suitable substrates are brick masonry, building blocks, concrete surfaces, poured concrete, etc.
3. Do not apply to plaster supports, cellular concrete and prefabricated walls.

Application :

Adhesion layer:

1. First we must place on the support an adhesion layer consisting of PUTZUNA HY prepared with a solution of COMPAKTUNA (PRO) / water of 1 to 2 until a thick slip is obtained, i.e. d. with ±15% mixing water (= ±3.5 L mixing water per 25 kg bag).
2. Apply this adhesion coat with a brush or by spraying and allow the adhesion coat to set (but do not allow it to harden) before continuing work.

Coating:

1. PUTZUNA HY is prepared with 11% to 13% water, i.e. ±2.75 L to 3.25 L water per 25 kg bag depending on the desired consistency.
   Per 25 kg bag, pour the necessary quantity of water into a tank and slowly and evenly add the dry coating.
2. Mix everything intensively with a slow mixer for 5 minutes until you obtain a homogeneous mass without lumps.
3. Let the coating sit for 2 minutes and then mix thoroughly again.
4. Apply the prepared mortar to the support either manually with a smoother or with a coating spraying machine (discontinuous type).
5. Distribute and level PUTZUNA HY with a leveling ruler or a straight slat until the desired thickness.
6. When the coating has set, it can be polished using a trowel (rotating movements).
7. For waterproofing work on cellars, cisterns, etc. all angles between walls as well as between floor and walls must be finished in cavet with a radius of ±6 cm as reinforcement.
8. This cavet finish is very important and effective because water infiltration most often occurs in these places (seams).
