Application

Expansion joints and floor/wall connection joints:

1. Apply the product in adhesive form evenly to the surface using a roller or trowel.
2. Treat with the appropriate Sika SealTape F tape and suitable interior/exterior components.

Pipes and gutters in the ground:

1. Apply the product in adhesive form evenly to the surface using a roller or trowel.
2. Seal with Sika SealTape F.

Coating system:

1. Apply the primer to the prepared substrate.
2. Pour the product onto the substrate.
   Note: Consumption is specified in application information.
3. Apply the product evenly to the surface using a roller or trowel.
4. After the waiting time between coats, apply a second coat to the surface with a roller or trowel.
5. After the final waiting period, lay the tiles on the surface.

1. Can Sikalastic-260 Stop Aqua be applied over existing tiles?
   Yes, with a suitable primer and a perfectly degreased and clean surface. Adhesion is excellent.
2. Is the product suitable for a walk-in shower?
   Yes, that's one of its main applications. Reinforcements should be planned for corners and drains.
3. Can I apply the product to a surface that is still slightly damp?
   Yes, the product tolerates damp surfaces, but not standing water.
4. Is Sikalastic-260 Stop Aqua crack-resistant?
   Yes, its high elasticity allows it to resist micro-cracking of the substrate.
5. Should a protective coating be applied after drying?
   Indoors, this is not mandatory if the product is covered (tiles, coating). Outdoors, mechanical protection is recommended.
6. Is the product compatible with SikaTile systems?
   Yes, perfectly compatible with Sika adhesives and mortars.
7. Can it be used on a balcony exposed to the elements?
   Yes, but only if the water doesn't stagnate there for extended periods. A slope and a protective finish are necessary.
8. Is the product odorless?
   It is solvent-free and classified EC1 PLUS, with virtually no odor.
9. Can the membrane be applied in a single thick layer?
   No, Sika recommends a minimum of 2 layers to ensure the thickness and continuity of the film.
