Sikalastic EPDM Primer - Synthetic Rubber Primer - Sika

Sikalastic EPDM Primer is a single-component, solvent-based synthetic rubber primer designed to obtain better adhesion on EPDM membranes.

Application areas

As a primer on EPDM substrates prior to the application of Sikalastic MTC roofing systems.

Application

1. Stir well with an electric mixer until a homogeneous color mixture is obtained.
   It is recommended to mix for a minimum of 3 minutes.
2. Stir in between (every 15-20 minutes).
3. Never dilute the product because this will diminish the performance of the product.
4. Make sure the surface is clean and free of grease and loose particles.
5. Apply by brush or short nap roller in one coat.
6. Do not use if weather conditions are near dew point, as condensation formation on the primer may reduce adhesion.
   In this case, let the surface dry and apply fresh primer.

Consumption

Apply a single coat at a rate of 6 - 7 m²/l.
