Sikafloor-01 Primer is a concentrated, single-component, water-based synthetic resin solution that is diluted with water and used as a primer on cement- based substrates, wood and mastic asphalt .
It is applied before the use of leveling mortars and tile adhesives , mainly to reduce the absorption of the substrate and increase adhesion to the substrate.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

Areas of application

As a primer for:

• Reduce media absorption
• Increase grip on smooth, healthy surfaces
• Protect the support against humidity due to leveling mortar or tile adhesive mortars

Application

1. Strictly follow the installation procedures as defined in the job descriptions, application guides and work instructions, but should always be adapted to the actual situation on site.
2. Apply the primer to the prepared surface using a roller, brush or spray (mixing ratio at least 1:1).
3. Ensure a continuous, well-covering layer, without small holes (pinholes), over the entire surface of the support.
   On highly absorbent substrates, it may be necessary to apply a second coat of primer.
4. Avoid puddles of primer.
5. Ensure that the waiting time is respected before applying the subsequent products.
