Sika Aktivator-100 - Cleaner and adhesion promoter - Sika

Sika Aktivator-100 is a colorless solvent-based adhesion promoter , which reacts with humidity in the air and leaves activating groups on the substrate.

These groups serve as a bridge between the substrate and the primer or sealant/adhesive.
Sika Aktivator-100 is specially formulated for the treatment of surfaces before application of single-component polyurethane Sika.

Application areas

Sika Aktivator-100 is an adhesion promoter on surfaces such as glass, glass with ceramic edge, trimmed/cut polyurethane cords and paints.
Sika Aktivator-100 is also suitable for improving the adhesion of Sikasil joints and glues on non-porous substrates.

This product is exclusively reserved for professionals.
Always pre-test on original substrates and under local conditions to ensure adhesion and compatibility of adhesive and material.

Application

1. Clean surfaces with a lint-free paper towel dampened (not wet) with Sika Aktivator-100.
2. Wipe off excess product immediately with a dry, lint-free cloth.
3. Never immerse the fabric in the activator.
4. Use only the clean side of the fabric.
5. Never rewet the fabric, change fabric regularly.
6. Apply Sika Aktivator-100 in moderation, using too much product can lead to poor adhesion.
7. If the surfaces are not bonded within the maximum evaporation time repeat the activation (once only).
8. The ideal temperature for substrate and product is between 15°C and 25°C.
9. Consumption and working time depend on the nature of the substrate and the production process.
10. Close the bottle carefully after use.
