Owatrol EB is an additive in aqueous phase which, once added to an acrylic or vinyl paint, allows easy application on particularly unstable bases (flour plaster , lime wall , old pliolite or whitewash ...).
Can also be used pure to block a difficult background ( aluminum , copper , etc.) before painting.

Properties :

• Fixes floury, porous bases and reduces the risk of the finish chipping.
• Blocks and isolates the support (ceiling) from various stains/traces of water, soot, smoke following a disaster or an incident.
• Isolates tannin stains, makes it easy to repaint oak beams.
• Prevents the oxidation of non-ferrous metals (copper), prevents the development of verdigris.
• Gives opacity to a medium covering white.
• Optimizes adhesion between the first and second coat of finish.
• Allows you to paint directly on a lacquered wall, PVC, aluminium, etc.
• Saves time, adds directly to the paint in the first coat, i.e. 2 coats in one.
• Economical: allows leftover jars to be reused as a universal base fixer.
• Recoverable in 4 hours (ambient temperature + 20°C, relative humidity 50%).
• Yield: 6 m2 per l.

Proper Application Tips:

1. Carry out a compatibility test between Owatrol EB and the paint. The mixture must be homogeneous.
2. First mix the paint alone and then add Owatrol EB. Mix again.
3. Application temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
4. Use Owatrol EB in addition only in the first coat.
5. Not suitable for alkyd/glycero paints. Use in this case Rustol-Owatrol. Do not use either mixed with a clear acrylic varnish.

The proportions of Owatrol EB may vary depending on the support, its condition and the mode of application.
