Decojoint - Drainage grout for outdoor paving stones - Knauf

Knauf Décojoint is a one -component jointing mortar based on synthetic resin , fine aggregates and admixtures .

• It is delivered ready to use in hermetically sealed buckets .
• It is permeable to water and hardens on contact with oxygen.
• Do not mix the product with other substances.

Application domain :

Knauf DecoJoint is used for the permeable grouting of old or new exterior pavings made of natural stone, concrete pavers or clinkers.

Particularly suitable for pedestrian areas such as garden paths, terraces and entrances.
Under certain conditions, it may also be suitable for areas accessible to vehicles in the private domain (garage driveway, private car park, etc.).

In this case, the support must be sufficiently draining and stable (e.g.: made with Knauf Drain Chape) and the paving stones must be laid with Knauf fix stone in order to ensure optimal adhesion of the paving to the mortar bed (See data sheet of the aforementioned products for more details).

It is not suitable for surfaces permanently exposed to humidity and/or regular water saturation (eg around swimming pools), nor for surfaces subject to (public) road traffic.

Remarks :

1. The surface is accessible to pedestrians after approx. 24 hours (at 20°C).
2. To apply the product, the ambient and surface temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C.
3. Check the compatibility of the material with pavers whose surface has been treated, with light-colored pavers or artificial stones (cement-based or synthetic material).
4. Always carry out a test beforehand on a small surface.
5. Do not apply too large surfaces at a time.
6. In order to avoid color differences, it is recommended to place a single order for the entire project so as to make all the joints with material from one and the same production.
7. Protect the product during setting from direct sunlight, drafts, frost and excessively high (>+30°C) or too low (<+5°C) temperatures, excessively rapid drying and freeze.
8. In the case of chamfered joints, fill the joint only to the base of the chamfer.
9. Clean tools, containers, etc. immediately with water.
   In the solid state, only mechanical cleaning is possible.
10. The technical data apply at a temperature of +20°C and a relative air humidity of 50%.
    Lower temperatures increase the indicated values, higher temperatures decrease them.
