Sika FastFix-135 Color L is a high performance, single-component, fluid, cement -based jointing mortar for pavers and slabs , for low and high traffic loads.

Application areas

Grouting paving stones, stones, bricks and concrete slabs set in a bed of mortar, for areas with low and high traffic loads:

• Sidewalks.

This product can be used outdoors and indoors.

Application

Pre-wet

1. Begin 2 hours before application with clean water saturation of the prepared concrete surface.
2. Do not let the substrate dry during this time.
3. Remove any standing water in the formwork, cavities or small holes.
4. The surface to be treated must have a dark and matte/non-shiny appearance (saturated but dry on the surface).

Laying the mortar

1. Pour or pump the mixed mortar onto the paving.
2. Use a scraper to spread it and to push the material into the joints.
3. Fill the joint to excess.
4. Immediately after application, scrape off the bare excess from the paver heads diagonally to the paver with a rubber squeegee.
5. Use a cylindrical brush cleaning machine or a mechanical sponge to remove the product from the surface.
6. As an alternative, remove mortar from pavers using a low pressure water jet fitted with a jet aerator while continuously brushing with a rubber squeegee.
7. Be careful not to gouge the joints/remove too much product from the joints.
8. After the material in the joint has fully cured, complete the cleaning process using a high pressure water jet.
