SikaGard-6470 S is a thixotropic protective coating with a long open time, based on elastomer and which has excellent anti-corrosion and soundproofing properties.
It is suitable for effective protection against the impact of gravel on vehicle bodies and has excellent final performance.

Thanks to its application properties, the original appearance can easily be reproduced.
SikaGard-6470 S has the best painting performance on the market, especially with water-based paints.
A hard coating forms after drying, protecting the metal from impact and corrosion.

Application areas

SikaGard-6470 S is a spray-on anti-corrosion coating intended for emergency repair and protection of vulnerable painted parts such as rocker panels, wheel arches and bodywork accessories.
It can also be applied as a sound deadener to reduce noise on parts such as wheel arches etc.

Application

1. Shake the box vigorously before use, approximately 40 times.
2. Cover adjacent surfaces before spraying.
3. Hold the aerosol vertically and spray Sikagard-6470 S onto the surface at room temperature and from a distance of approximately 25 cm, in a cross pattern, to obtain an even film thickness.
4. Sikagard-6470 S can be applied without paint mist and does not drip.
5. Spray the product until the desired layer thickness is obtained.
6. If a high layer thickness is desired, let the individual layers dry each time.
7. After application, turn the spray over the head and squirt in short strokes to clean the nozzle.
8. Do not spray on brake, engine or exhaust system parts
