SikaGard-6250 S - Thixotropic Wax - Sika

SikaGard-6250 S is a white wax without aromatic solvent which has excellent anti-corrosion properties.
It effectively protects car body cavities against corrosion , it is easy to apply and has excellent final properties.

SikaGard-6250 S is very heat resistant.
After drying, a slightly sticky white wax film remains which protects the cavities from corrosion.

Application areas

• SikaGard-6250 S is a sprayable anti-corrosion coating for the repair and protection of hard-to-reach areas of vehicles such as door panel cavities, side panels, engine hoods, trunk lids, fenders , sills, reinforcements and uprights.
• Thanks to its very high temperature resistance (up to 180°C), SikaGard-6250 S can also be used for engine protection.
• The product can be sprayed without forming a mist and does not run into the evacuation openings.
• The SikaGard-6250 S has very good adhesion on different paints: primed metals, metals and PVC without any pre-treatment.
• This product is exclusively reserved for professionals.
  Tests on real substrates must be carried out to check the adhesion and compatibility of the product.

Application

1. Shake the can approximately 40 times before use.
2. Protect surrounding areas before spraying.
3. Spray at room temperature and at a distance of 25 cm from the surface or into the cavity.
4. To reach the cavities, use an additional extension hose.
5. Use existing access points or create new ones by drilling through holes.
6. Make sure to deposit a continuous film of product.
7. Hold can upright and do not spray brake systems or exhaust.
8. After use, invert can and spray in short bursts to clean nozzle.
9. Due to the flammable propellant gas, ventilate the cavities during the drying time or before closing the cavities.
