VegaFloor - Colourless PU sealer - Owatrol Pro

Vegafloor , the single-component , high-performance water -based satin sealer , easy to apply and which has optimal mechanical and chemical resistance , including to ammonia products .

Properties :

  • normal traffic: bedrooms, living rooms...
  • heavy traffic: corridors, stairs, dining rooms...
• Yield: Approximately 10 to 12 m² per coat per litre.
  Performance may vary depending on the condition of the support, its impregnation and the application equipment.

Substrate preparation:

1. In order to avoid too deep scratches due to sanding, carry out a sanding test with a parquet sander equipped with a grit n° 40 or 50.
2. Depending on the visual result obtained, gradually continue with a finer grit up to n° 80 or 100 or start with a coarser grit (grit < 40) for soil that is clogged and not flattened.
3. Use a flanging machine for the edges, a scraper or a wood chisel for the angles.
4. If necessary, fill cracks < 2 mm with Lianfloor and resume sanding with grit n° 80 or 100 depending on the last grit used.
5. Finish with finishing sanding up to grit numbers 120 to 150 depending on the species and the thickness of the wear layer.

Professional advice:

• Respect the particle size scale above. It is recommended to skip only one grain at a time.
• Adapt the sanding pressure and speed according to the grain used, the nature of the more or less soft wood and the thickness of the wear layer. Good preparation is essential for the final appearance of the finish.
• Always dust thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner between each sanding without forgetting the dust traps (baseboards, radiators, pipes, edges of bay windows, etc.).
• Formerly oiled or waxed floors: prefer, first, dry stripping with DSP 800 followed by degreasing before sanding (contact us).
• In all cases, comply with the standards/DTU in force.

Application :

1. Shake the product well with a spatula.
   Use a helical mixer if necessary.
   Leave for a few minutes before applying.
2. Apply an even, trimmed first coat of VegaFloor.
   Make 3 cross passes in one application by facing the light and starting from the part opposite the door in order to progress towards it.
3. Start with the edges then work the entire surface, working in areas of 2m by 2m.
4. Do not open windows during application to avoid too rapid drying.
5. Let dry 3 to 4 hours depending on ambient conditions.
6. Proceed with ginning (grains n° 150 to 180) then dust thoroughly.
7. Apply the 2nd layer of VegaFloor.
   Do not exceed more than 12 hours between the application of the 2 coats.
8. Wait at least 48 hours before replacing the furniture, protecting the feet with pads.
9. Do not cover the vitrified support with mats or protective tarpaulins for at least 14 days after applying the vitrifier.

Applies to all species usually used in this type of work.
