SikaBond-52 Parquet i-Cure - Elastic parquet adhesive EC 1 PLUS - Sika

SikaBond-52 Parquet is a one-component, solvent-free, elastic parquet adhesive designed for application with Sikabond Dispenser spreaders or by beads.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions.

Areas of application

• Designed for full bath bonding using SikaBond Dispenser spreaders:
  Solid and prefabricated parquet, mosaic parquet, industrial parquet, chipboard panels and wood for the substructure.
• Designed for the Sika AcouBond system and bead bonding:
  Solid or multi-layer parquet, chipboard panels and wood for the substructure.
• SikaBond-52 Parquet is specially designed for use with difficult woods.

Application

1. The support must be clean, dry and homogeneous, free from oil, grease, dust and friable parts.
   Paint, laitance and other non-adherent parts must be removed.
2. Concrete floors and/or cement-based screeds must be sanded and carefully cleaned using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
3. Anhydrite screeds/floors must be sanded and carefully cleaned using an industrial vacuum cleaner shortly before work begins.
4. Sprinkled mastic asphalt floors must be primed before application of Sika Primer MR Fast (see technical data sheet).
5. Glazed ceramic and old ceramic tiles must be degreased and cleaned beforehand with Sika Aktivator-205, or the surface of the tiles must be followed by careful cleaning using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
6. Glue and/or screw the wood/plaster panels onto the substructure so that they are fixed to the support.
   In case of floating or detached floor, consult Sika technical service.
7. SikaBond-52 Parquet can be used without primer on cement-based floors, anhydrite floors, chipboard, concrete and ceramic tiles.
8. Use Sika Primer MR Fast on sprinkled asphalt floors, cement-based floors with too high a residual moisture content, and in the case of renovation on adhesive residues and on weak, non-load-bearing substrates.

Consumption

Sika AcouBond System:

• Approx. ∼400–500 ml/m2 for SikaLayer-03 and Approx. ∼500–600 ml/m2 for SikaLayer-05.
• Filling of all cutouts is required.
• Use a triangular tip with an opening of 8 x 10 mm.

Full bath bonding using the SikaBond Dispenser-1800 /-3600 /-5400:

Gluing to the cord:

• ∼44 ml per running meter = 250-500 g/m², depending on the spacing between the cords (solid parquet, chipboard and multi-layer parquet).

Substrates treated with Sika Primer MR Fast result in lower consumption of SikaBond-52 Parquet adhesive.
