Self-leveling cement- based leveling compound with very low VOC emissions, for indoor and outdoor application .
Sikafloor-200 Level is a multifunctional leveling compound characterized by particularly low shrinkage and significant thickness.
Suitable for medium use.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

Features

  • Self-levelling
  • Compatible with underfloor heating
  • Layer thickness up to 60 mm if aggregates are added
  • Low voltage
  • EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .
  • Pumpable
  • Suitable for outdoor application if covered with a waterproof finish
  • Resistant to office chair casters according to EN 12529
  • Suitable for creating a bonded screed on cementitious substrates beneath ceramic tiles

Areas of application

Sikafloor-200 Level is suitable for smoothing, leveling and smoothing suitable substrates before laying parquet flooring, ceramic tiles, seamless synthetic resin-based floor coverings, textile or elastic floor coverings, both indoors and outdoors in residential and non-industrial buildings.

Application

  1. Spread the mixed Sikafloor-200 Level using suitable tools (trowel or notched scraper, or adjustable handle scraper) and remove air occlusions with a bubble roller.
  2. Peripheral connections and expansion joints must be taken into account up to the finished surface.
    Avoid introducing the equalization mass.
  3. The leveling layer must be sufficiently thick and the surface sufficiently flat, as indicated by the manufacturer of the tiles or flooring.
  4. In the case of thicker layers, avoid contact with vertical structures by placing an insulating strip around the perimeter.
  5. If a second leveling coat is to be applied, the first coat must be primed with Sikafloor-03 Primer or with Sikafloor-01 Primer (1:1).
The maximum layer thickness cannot be exceeded when applying in two layers.
The second layer cannot exceed the layer thickness of the first.
  6. Avoid contact with metal, such as water pipes (e.g. by insulating the penetrations of the latter) because galvanized steel pipes in particular are not sufficiently protected against corrosion.
  7. Protect the Sikafloor-200 Level leveling layers from high ambient temperatures, direct sunlight and drafts (curing treatment).

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the minimum and maximum thickness?
The thickness can range from 3 mm to 40 mm in a single pass.
  2. Can it be used on underfloor heating?
Yes, it is compatible with all underfloor heating systems (hot water or electric). Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions.
  3. Should a primer be applied beforehand?
Yes, a suitable Sika primer is mandatory to guarantee adhesion and prevent bubbling.
  4. Is it suitable for outdoor use?
No, SikaFloor 200 Level is intended for indoor use only.
  5. Is it self-leveling?
Yes, it's a self-leveling compound that provides a perfectly flat surface.
  6. Can tiles be laid on top of it?
Yes, the tiles can be laid after 6 to 24 hours, depending on conditions and thickness.
  7. Is it compatible with anhydrite screeds (CAF / CA)?
Yes, but you need to sand, dust, and use a suitable primer.
  8. Can it be applied over existing tiles?
Yes, if the tiles are solid, clean, and properly prepared. Deglazing, degreasing, and priming are recommended.
  9. Can it be sanded once it's dry?
It's not necessary, but light sanding is possible if touch-ups are needed.
  10. How much water should be added?
The exact quantity depends on the packaging, but generally: ≈ 4.0 to 4.5 L of water per 25 kg bag.
  11. Is it pumpable?
Yes, the product is highly pumpable, ideal for large areas.
  12. What is the mechanical resistance?
Very high, conforming to high performance equalization standards (≥ 30 MPa depending on thickness).
