Sikadur-42 HE is a high performance 3-component sealing mortar based on epoxy resins , resistant to humidity.

Application areas

For heavy-duty sealing and fixing of:

• Bars.
• Anchor irons.
• Fasteners.

For the underpinning of:

• Precise support plate base.
• Machine bases, support plates for light and heavy machines, including heavy machines with shocks and vibrations, reciprocating engines, compressors, pumps, presses, etc.
• Bridge abutments.
• Mechanical fasteners (e.g. roads, bridges, overhead cranes, etc.).

Fixing rails:

• Rolling tracks.
• Light rail and rolling track in tunnels.
• Light rail and running track on bridges.

Application

1. Mix components A and B in the component A bucket for approximately 30-60 seconds using a mixer attached to a low speed drill (300-450 rpm).
2. Avoid air entrapment during mixing until material is uniform in color and viscosity.
3. Place the mixed epoxy into a suitable mixing container.
4. Gradually add the content of component C (to avoid air entrapment as much as possible) according to the flow requirements (respect the correct mixing ratio) and mix until a uniform and homogeneous mortar is obtained. (for about 3 mins).
5. Mix only the amount that can be used during the pot life.
6. Never mix components A and B without adding component C (the exothermic reaction between A and B alone generates excess heat).
7. Leave the Sikadur-42 HE in the mixing container until the majority of the air bubbles created have disappeared.
