Sika Boom-151 Multiposition - Expanding PU Foam - Sika

Sika Boom-151 Multiposition is a self-expanding, single-component polyurethane foam , applied using a nozzle.
Its special formulation, combined with the safety valve , allows multi-position use (application from any angle).

Application areas

The product is designed for:

• Insulation and filling of cavities and voids.
• Filling joints around window and door frames.
• Insulation against cold and drafts.
• Filling around pipes / duct penetrations.

The product can be used for interior and exterior applications.

Application

1. If used for bonding vertical/horizontal construction elements, they must be supported until the product has developed sufficient strength.
2. Shake the aerosol well for at least 20 times before use.
3. Repeat agitation after long breaks in use.
4. After shaking the canister, remove the cap from the Sika Boom-151 Multiposition canister and firmly screw the nozzle onto the valve thread without pressing the trigger or the valve.
5. The amount of extruded foam can be regulated by applying more or less pressure to the trigger.
6. Fill deep seams in several layers.
7. Allow each coat to expand and harden sufficiently before wetting it again with water for the application of the next coat.
8. Fill voids/cavities only partially as the foam expands during curing.
9. Small voids can be filled using an extension tube, however this will reduce foam flow.
