This anti-corrosion treatment makes your materials more resistant, stops rust , and protects them from external damage. Designed for the above-water parts of your boat , it offers effective and long-lasting protection .

Easy to use, it applies directly to sound rust and adheres to smooth surfaces. It guarantees a high-quality result with a semi-gloss, opaque galvanized finish.

Application :

1. Protect anything that should not be painted, especially when applying with a roller or spray gun.
2. Apply between +5°C and +30°C.
3. Do not dilute.
4. Stir well before and during use to keep the pigments in suspension.
5. Apply 1 coat of OWATROL-GLV as a finishing coat, or even 2 if necessary.
6. For optimal results: penetration into the substrate, luminous and regular film which will retain a certain flexibility over time, wait between 8 and 24 hours between each application (temperature 20°C and 50% RH).
7. When applying with a spray gun, and depending on the type of nozzle used, add 5 to 20% of RUSTOLOWATROL to OWATROL-GLV to bring it to the desired viscosity.
8. Where possible, and in order to obtain a more uniform appearance, always finish the application in the same direction throughout the surface.
9. OWATROL-GLV is based on RUSTOL-OWATROL ; therefore, it dries slowly, so do not apply to a very hot surface. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does Owatrol GLV replace hot-dip galvanizing?
   No, but it's a very effective alternative for protecting and giving the appearance of galvanized steel, without complicated installation or high cost. Ideal for renovations and parts that are difficult to remove.
2. Can GLV be applied to rust?
   Yes, as long as it's adhering. For advanced or powdery rust, it's recommended to apply Owatrol Oil before GLV.
3. Is the product resistant to marine environments?
   Yes, GLV offers excellent resistance to salt, humidity and aggressive atmospheres.
4. What is the duration of protection?
   Depending on exposure and maintenance, the protection can last for several years, often comparable to or better than conventional anti-corrosion paint.
5. Can GLV be covered with another coat of paint?
   Yes, once completely dry (24 to 48 hours). Make sure to choose a compatible paint (alkyd, glycerophthalic).
6. Is it suitable for indoor use?
   Yes, but the application requires good ventilation because it contains solvents.
7. What is the final appearance of the product?
   A metallic/galvanized finish, more or less shiny depending on the thickness applied.
