Textrol - Penetrating oil finish for exterior woods - Owatrol

Saturator for soft woods based on natural vegetable oils .

Its high-performance formula based on vegetable oils deeply nourishes your wood and guarantees high, long-lasting protection .
Easy to use, it is ideal for your renovation and maintenance work on your chalets , cladding, terraces , etc.

Properties :

• Matte transparent protection “oiled appearance”, long-lasting.
• Retains the natural appearance of the wood.
• Non-film forming - does not flake or peel over time.
• Colorless or tinted.
• Does not darken under UV rays.
• Easy to use.
• Easy and quick maintenance, without scrubbing, sanding or stripping.
• Practical performance varies depending on surface type, condition and absorption as well as method of application.
  10 to 12 m²/L per layer
  Approximately 5 m²/L in multi-layer system.
• Finish: Matte - oiled appearance.

Applications:

1. Do not dilute.
   Mix the product well before and during application.
2. On a prepared surface, apply a generous layer of Textrol in the direction of the wood fibers and over the total length of the board, paying particular attention to the ends.
3. Apply a second coat when the wet appearance of the wood disappears (approximately 15 to 30 minutes).
   Never let dry between coats.
   Apply “charges upon charges”.
4. Repeat the operation until the support is saturated (wood refuses).
5. Smooth the excess product (or even wipe off) before drying to avoid any traces of runs or shine when drying: Textrol must be in the wood and not on the surface.
6. When applying by gun, smoothing is always recommended to improve penetration and give a uniform appearance.

NB : Commissioning of terraces, pontoons: normal traffic 48/72 hours depending on weather conditions.

Destination :

• Outside.
• Chalets, cladding, terraces, barriers, garden sheds.
• Autoclave softwoods or not, including Western Red Cedar. Do not use on plywood.
• Apply to a clean coating free of any previous coating (or to a suitable Owatrol saturator).
• Horizontal or vertical surfaces.

Conditioning :

1L, 2.5L, 5L, 20L and 200L.

NOTE: the old wood gray color no longer exists. It will therefore no longer be available once it is out of stock.
