Seasonite - Protection for all new exterior softwoods - Owatrol

Seasonite protects new wood from the damaging effects of sun and humidity during the first year it is exposed to atmospheric agents .

Immediate application of Seasonite protects wood from sun damage , keeping it looking like new for longer.
Breathable, it allows excess water to regulate itself while preventing moisture from penetrating into the wood.
With Seasonite , new wood is naturally exposed without the stresses of weathering in the first year.

Properties :

• Retains the natural look and stabilizes new wood.
• Minimizes bursting, swelling, warping and cracking due to continuous exposure to sun and rain.
• Easy to apply - in one coat.
• Colorless.
• Ready to use.
• Practical performance will vary with type, surface condition and absorbency as well as mode of application.
  +/- 5 to 7 m2 per litre.

Application :

1. Prepare the surface as indicated in “Substrate preparation”.
2. The wood should be clean, dry to the touch.
3. Apply a generous coat to all wood surfaces.
4. Soak the ends well.
5. For grating, work Seasonite into the gaps between the boards.
6. After a minimum of six months of exposure, wood treated with Seasonite is ready to be protected with a saturator such as Textrol Pro or a colored finish such as Solid Color Stain.
7. Use Net-Trol to clean the wood and restore it to its original color.

NB : For wood that has already been exposed to bad weather for several months, use Net-Trol.

Proper Application Tips:

• Surfaces must be clean, dry to the touch, free of dust, grease, mildew and all other surface dirt.
• Cover anything not to be treated, including plants and shrubs.
• Apply between +10°C and +30°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
• Do not apply if cold and/or wet weather is expected within 24 hours.
• Thoroughly mix the product before application.
  Do not dilute.
• Vertical siding will be treated from top to bottom.
• After spray application, always distribute the product with a brush or roller to improve penetration and uniformity.

• Only for new exterior softwoods (less than six months of exposure) during the first months of exposure.
• Ideal for autoclaved woods.
• Horizontal and vertical surfaces: gratings, siding, shingles, palisades and other exterior wooden supports.
