Soudaseal EPDM is a high-quality, single-component, hybrid polymer-based adhesive sealant.
Neutral and elastic, it is used for bonding and sealing EPDM membranes when applied both indoors and outdoors.
Soudaseal EPDM is an element of the Soudal Window System.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

Applications:

• For bonding EPDM vapor barriers and waterproofing membranes in facade applications.

Instructions for use:

1. Apply the Soudaseal EPDM, with a manual or pneumatic gun, to the substrate with an uninterrupted layer of approximately 5 mm.
2. Apply the EPDM membrane to the wet adhesive and press down.
3. An uninterrupted layer of adhesive with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm and a width of approximately 25 mm ensures the best curing.
4. It is possible to remove Soudaseal EPDM from materials and tools with Soudal 90A glue cleaner, Swipex or White Spirit as long as the product has not hardened.
5. Once hardened, the product can only be removed mechanically.

1. Is Soudaseal EPDM suitable for all types of EPDM membranes?
   Yes, it is specifically formulated for EPDM membranes, regardless of the common brands on the market. Compatibility is optimal without a primer.
2. Can it be used in the rain or on a wet surface?
   The surface can be slightly damp, but not soaked. Avoid application in direct rain or on a dripping surface.
3. Is the bonding immediate?
   The product offers high initial adhesion, but the final set depends on polymerization (24 to 48 hours). It is advisable to maintain initial pressure during the setting time.
4. Can Soudaseal EPDM be painted?
   Yes, it can be recoated with most paints after a skin has formed. A preliminary test is recommended, especially with water-based paints.
5. Is it resistant to UV rays and inclement weather?
   Yes, it is extremely resistant to UV, aging and weathering, making it ideal for roofing and permanent outdoor applications.
6. Can it be used to stick to asphalt?
   Adhesion to bituminous materials is not guaranteed. It is recommended to carry out a test or use a suitable primer.
7. What is its drying time?
   Complete drying occurs at a rate of 2–3 mm per 24h depending on climatic conditions.
8. Is it compatible with insulating panels?
   Yes, it adheres to most rigid insulation materials (XPS, PIR, PU, etc.). If in doubt, perform a test.
