Sika injection-304 - Polyacrylic injection gel - Sika

Sika Injection-304 is a very low viscosity, elastic and very fast polyacrylic injection gel.
The product reacts to form an elastic but solid waterproof gel with good adhesion on dry and wet surfaces.

Features

• Permanent elasticity, can absorb limited movements.
• Able to repeatedly absorb (inflate) or release (shrink) moisture.
• The gel formation time can be adapted to specific needs (low/high temperatures, etc.).
• Very low viscosity, comparable to that of water.
• Polymerized Sika Injection-304 is insoluble in water and hydrocarbons and is resistant to acids and alkalis.
• Solvent-free, ecological, applicable in areas where the water table is protected.
• Resists freeze-thaw cycles.
• Must be injected as a two-component system.

Application areas

• Sika Injection-304 is applied to create new waterproof surfaces (humidity barriers) in damp or water-saturated soils located near or in buildings.
• Sika Injection-304 is suitable for the subsequent injection of construction joints, expansion joints, etc. in moist or water-saturated soils.
• Sika Injection-304 is applied for the reinforcement of low permeable non-bearing soils.
• Sika Injection-304 can also be applied for injection repair of damaged waterproofing membranes (single- and double-layer system).

Application

Component A:

1. Mix components A1 and A2 (supplied in the required mixing ratio of 20:1 parts by weight) immediately before use.
2. Empty the small container (component A2) completely into the container of component A1.
3. Mix the components thoroughly using a suitable mixer.
4. Component A is light sensitive and should be stored and mixed in UV resistant containers.

Component B solution:

1. Component B is a concentrated powder and must be mixed with water immediately before application on site.
2. Dissolve the powder in a clean plastic container by mixing thoroughly for 2-3 minutes using a suitable mixer.
3. Component A (A1 + A2) and component B solution (comp. B + water) must be mixed in two drums of the same size.
4. Set the amount of water needed to dilute component B (~18 liters) by adjusting the level/volume of component B to component A.
   The reference values (approximate) are based on the concentration of component B at different application temperatures.
5. Due to the short reaction time, Sika Injection-304 must be injected with a two-component RVS injection gun (component B solution is corrosive).

• Component A2: 1 kg, colorless
• Component B: 0.95 kg, colorless
