Sika injection-101 RC - Flexible injection foam - Sika

Sika injection-101 RC is a low viscosity, fast foaming , solvent free and water reactive polyurethane based injection resin which transforms into a dense and flexible foam with a fine cellular structure.

Features

  • No reaction as long as the product does not come into contact with water.
  • Sika Injection-101 RC can be injected as a one-component system.
  • The expansion factor of foam in contact with water is 40.
  • The rate of reaction (formation of foam) is influenced by the temperature of the mixed material, the structure and the water with which the product comes into contact, as well as by the hydrodynamic conditions.
  • At low temperatures (< +10°C), Sika Injection-101 RC can be accelerated using Sika Injection-AC10.

Application areas

Sika Injection-101 RC is used to temporarily seal large water infiltrations through cracks, joints and cavities in concrete, masonry and natural stone structures.

To obtain permanent crack sealing, Sika Injection-201 CE should subsequently be injected.

Application

  1. Empty components A and B into a container and mix gently and carefully for at least 3 minutes (maximum 250 rpm) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, observing the safety instructions.
  2. Containers are supplied in accordance with the required mixing ratio of 1:1 part by volume.
  3. Partial quantities can be measured into separate containers.
  4. After mixing, pour the material into the supply tank of the pump, mix briefly and use before the limit of the life of the pot.
  5. Use injection pumps suitable for single-component products.
