Sikaflex Pro-3 SL is a single-component self-leveling elastic sealant , polymerizing with air humidity , with high mechanical and chemical resistance, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

Application areas

Sikaflex PRO-3 SL is specially developed for horizontal applications, suitable for expansion and connection joints in the ground, pedestrian areas and areas subject to traffic (eg car parks), shops and production areas, applications in industry food, ceramic tiles in public buildings, etc., and for floor joints in tunnels.

Application

Joint design

The width of the joint should be calculated/designed to accommodate the required movement of the joint and the movement capability of the sealant.
The joint width must be ≥ 10 mm and ≤ 35 mm.
A width to depth ratio of 1:0.8 must be maintained

The joints must first be properly calculated and sized in accordance with the standards in force.
The basis for calculating the necessary widths of the joint are the type of structure and its dimensions, the technical characteristics of the surrounding building materials, and the joint sealant itself, as well as the specific exposure of the building and its joints.

Instructions

1. Sikaflex PRO-3 SL is ready to use.
2. After the necessary preparation of the support, insert the backing strip to the required depth and - if necessary apply the primer.
3. Insert the bag into the gun and apply the Sikaflex PRO-3 SL evenly in the joint.
4. Take care to ensure complete contact with the flanks of the joint and to avoid the inclusion of air.
