Sikacryl-200 - High performance acrylic mastic - Sika

Sikacryl-200 is a one-component, non-flowing, acrylic dispersion-based grouting sealant with an aptitude for movement of ± 12.5% and high resistance to rain.

Application areas

• Sikacryl-200 has been designed for caulking connection joints with moderate expansion on substrates such as concrete, cellular concrete, plaster, fiber cement, brick, Placoplâtre, aluminum, PVC and wood.
• Sikacryl-200 has been designed for connection joints around frames, window sills, doors, PVC pipe passages, drywall and ceilings.
• Sikacryl-200 has been designed for interior and exterior crack filling (not suitable for permanent immersion in water).

Application

1. Sikacryl-200 is supplied ready to use.
2. After adequate preparation of the substrate, insert the cartridge into a caulking gun and extrude the Sikacryl-200 into the joint making full contact with the lips of the joint and avoiding the entrapment of air bubbles.
3. Apply Sikacryl-200 firmly against the joint lips to ensure good adhesion.
4. Use masking tape where precise or exceptionally clean grout lines are required.
5. Remove this tape before it forms a skin on the putty.
6. Do not use smoothing solutions that contain solvents.
7. In case wet smoothing is required, water can be used.

Consumption

Joint length [m] = 300 ml / (joint width [mm] x joint depth [mm]).
Liters / m joint = (joint width [mm] x joint depth [mm]) / 1000 (mx mm² / l)

For triangular joints (the sides of the joint forming a right angle), the width of the adherent faces is ≥ 7 mm per side.
