The Sikaflex-291i is a paste-like single-component polyurethane specially developed for marine applications. it polymerizes under the action of air moisture to form a durable elastomer. The Sikaflex-291i causes a small spread of flames in accordance with standards imposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The Sikaflex-291i is manufactured according to ISO 9001 and 14001 quality assurance rules and the Responsible Care program.

The Sikaflex-291i is a versatile assembly product used in shipbuilding. It is suitable for the construction of flexible, vibration-resistant seals and can be used for a multitude of applications such as sealing interior and exterior elements. The Sikaflex-291i has great grip power on the main supports used in shipbuilding: wood, metals, primers and paints (bi-components), ceramics, as well as plastics (GRP etc.). Sikaflex-291i should not be used on plastics subject to crazing (e.g. PMMA, PC, etc.).
