Function :

• As part of an application reserved for pedestrians .
• In the case where the upper part of the pit must be closed by a cover which must be easily removable also for access to the ventilated void, the evacuation pipes, the collectors, etc.
• These access hatches are the solution for covering pits subject to water distribution regulations (article 20.3).
• Thickness 5/7 : regular pedestrian crossing

Composition :

• The frame is a 30/30/3 mm aluminum angle (AL-MG-SI 0.5).
• The mitered corners are reinforced with galvanized steel supports. These are fixed with screws to the bottom and sides of the corner to obtain a unit that does not deform.
• Anchoring in the support is carried out via galvanized steel fasteners screwed into the horizontal flat of the angle iron.
• The cover is made of a 5/7 thick non-slip ribbed aluminium sheet which is supported on its perimeter by a quadrangular aluminium profile (22 x 22 x 2mm).
• The chequered sheet metal is fitted with a bolt in its centre which allows the cover to be easily removed.

Recommendation of reinforcements:

• 1 reinforcement is recommended for hatches less than 600 x 600 mm.
• 2 reinforcements are recommended for hatches between 600 x 600 mm and 750 x 750 mm.
• 3 reinforcements are recommended for hatches larger than 750 x 750 mm.
