Areas of application

SikaLayer is used for bonding all solid wood and 3-ply (tongue and groove) parquet flooring in new buildings and in particular in the field of renovation of residential buildings, offices, industrial buildings, commercial and exhibition premises.

Application

1. Unroll the SikaLayer-03 / SikaLayer-05 parallel to the direction of the parquet elements.
2. Ensure that the SikaLayer-03 / SikaLayer-05 components are properly assembled but do not overlap.
3. Applying the glue requires a glue gun.
4. Apply the glue using the manual or pneumatic gun in all the perforations with the triangular nozzle supplied (width 8 mm, height 10 mm).
5. Filling all perforations is mandatory.
6. Hold the tip vertically in relation to the support.
7. Do not apply glue outside of the perforations.
8. Place the parquet elements and then press them firmly into the glue until they touch the carpet.
9. The parquet flooring elements can be assembled using a hammer or an impact block.
10. Leave a space between the parquet flooring and the wall, respecting the manufacturer's instructions.
11. Remove any unhardened glue residue immediately with a clean cloth and, if necessary, clean with Sika Remover-208. Test the compatibility of Sika Remover-208 on the wood surface before use.
