Features

  • Low VOC and AMC emissions
  • Low particle emissions
  • Good chemical and mechanical resistance
  • Permeable to water vapor
  • Dilution with water
  • Low odor
  • Ease of application

Application areas

  • Colored epoxy coating for concrete, cement screeds, sprinkled systems and epoxy mortars.
  • Suitable for normal to medium mechanical and chemical stress.
  • For production areas, stores, parking lot floors, garages, etc.

Application

  1. Before application, confirm the moisture content of the substrate, relative air humidity and dew point.
  2. If the water content is above 6%, Sikafloor EpoCem can be applied as a temporary moisture barrier (TMB).

Primer

  1. Ensure that a continuous, pore-free layer covers the substrate.
  2. If necessary, apply two coats of primer.
  3. When used as a primer, always apply with a brush.

Seal coat

  1. Sikafloor-2540 W is distributed evenly using a short nap roller.
  2. A seamless finish can be achieved if a "wet" edge is maintained during application.
  3. Uneven application of the material and resulting differences in the thicknesses of the coating layer can cause differences in surface "gloss".

Appearance

  • Resin - component A: liquid, colored
  • Hardener - component B: liquid, transparent

Consumption

~ 0.2-0.3 kg/m² applied as a coating applied by roller.
These values are theoretical and do not take into account a certain number of elements which could increase them such as porosity, roughness, unevenness, losses, etc.

Conditioning

18 kg A+B kit in light gray or flint gray.
