PRO BERO - Sustainable rust removal - Lithofin
Traces of iron frequently found in natural stones can oxidize due to weathering or treatment with stone cleaner. Consequence: the stone changes color and rust spots appear. Lithofin BERO is very suitable for removing these discolorations.
Lithofin BERO is an acid cleaner containing special anti-rust agents.
It permanently removes rust and all discoloration due to rust, whether it comes from the natural iron content or from the treatment undergone.
Mortar residues, cement film, sanding slag and similar dirt will also be removed.
Technical specifications :

Application :
For the removal of cement films and the cleaning of ferruginous natural stones as well as for the removal of rust and rust discolouration. Suitable for gneisses such as serizzo, cresciano, calanca and granites such as Sardinian white, etc.
Manual :
- Depending on the nature and thickness of the fouling, apply Lithofin BERO diluted in water up to 1:7 and distribute it evenly.
- After leaving it to act for approximately 4 to 8 hours (possibly 24 hours maximum, if there is a lot of rust), rinse with water.
- For very stubborn rust stains, the operation may have to be repeated.
- During cleaning, it will be necessary to protect the stone from water.
Caution: Lithofin BERO should not be used on polished marble, limestone, eloxal, zinc or other acid-sensitive materials. On some natural stones, the color may become darker, but it will return to normal after a while. However, the entire surface must always be treated with Lithofin BERO.
Tip: Ferruginous stones should be cleaned with Lithofin MN Cement Remover as this product removes existing rust stains and prevents new rust stains from appearing. If the surface is very dirty, first clean with Lithofin MURO and then perform a subsequent treatment with Lithofin BERO.
Yield :
- 7-15 m²/L approximately depending on the coating.

J'utilise ce produit depuis des années pour éliminer les traces de rouille sur les dalles de pierre bordant ma piscine. Cela fonctionne très bien et redonne un bel aspect à ce dallage.
