Sika Boom-551 Multiposition is a one-component, self-expanding polyurethane foam for spray application.
Its special formulation, combined with the safety valve , allows multi-position use (application at any angle).
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions.

Areas of application

The product is designed for:

• Insulation and filling of cavities and voids.
• Filling joints around window and door frames.
• Insulation against cold and drafts.
• Filling around pipes/duct penetrations.

The product can be used for both interior and exterior applications.

Application

1. If used for bonding vertical/horizontal construction elements, they must be supported until the product has developed sufficient strength.
2. Shake the aerosol can well for at least 20 times before use.
3. Repeat stirring after long interruptions during use.
4. After shaking the can, remove the cap from the Sika Boom-551 Multiposition can as well as the ring cover on top.
5. Screw Sika Boom- 551 Multiposition onto the thread of the application gun.
   The amount of extruded foam can be adjusted by applying more or less pressure to the gun trigger or by using the flow adjustment screw on the application gun.
6. Fill deep joints in several layers.
7. Allow each layer to expand and harden sufficiently before wetting it again with water for the next layer.
8. Only partially fill voids/cavities as the foam expands during curing.
   Small gaps can be filled using an extension tube, however this will reduce the flow of foam.
9. Do not remove the can from the application gun unless it is completely empty.
   Premature removal may result in foam splashing.
10. Clean the application gun with Sika Boom Cleaner after use.
    Removing the canister without thorough cleaning with Sika Boom Cleaner will damage the application gun.
