Antik Crakle - Antique crackle effect - Owatrol

Antik crackle is a technical layer allowing to obtain very natural antique crackle effects.

Properties :

• Old type random cracks.
• Aqueous phase.
• Scentless.
• Fast drying.
• Yield: approximately 5-6 m²/L depending on the porosity of the support and the desired decorative effect.

Application :

1. Shake well before use.
2. Ready to use, do not dilute.
3. The supports must be sound, dry and clean.
4. The color of the cracks will be that of the support.
   If necessary apply a coat of paint in the desired color.
5. Apply a very generous coat of Antik crackle using a brush or medium-haired roller.
6. Leave to dry for around 6 hours.
   Dried product may remain sticky.
7. Apply a finishing coat (paint or acrylic patina in aqueous phase of the desired final color) taking care to simply deposit the product and not to return to the application (do not "cross", nor smooth).
8. Let the finish dry for the necessary time indicated on the technical data sheet of this product.
9. The ground color is revealed in the heart of the cracks in a few minutes during drying.
10. In order to durably protect the effect obtained, you can use the Natural varnish (Matte aspect).

Destination :

• Antik crackle can be applied to all healthy, dry and clean surfaces.
• On substrates with difficult adhesion (plastic, glass, ceramic, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, etc.) the prior application of the Absolute primer undercoat is necessary.
