Owafilter - Colorless anti-yellowing impregnation - Owatrol

Colorless anti-yellowing impregnation in aqueous phase for interior use.
Helps slow down yellowing on softwoods and light hardwoods thanks to the presence of anti-UV agents, insulating resins and special additives.

Properties :

• Slows down the yellowing and browning of light woods.
• Contains no fungicide.
• Yield: 10 to 12 m2 /L per coat.

Application :

Owafilter being colorless, be careful not to forget to treat areas:

• On new wood :

1. Sand (grain 80) the wood for good penetration of the product.
2. Dust it well.
3. Apply a coat of Owafilter.
4. Let dry 4-6 hours before applying the finish.
5. For a better finish, eliminate any rising fibers by ultra-fine ginning (400).
6. Owafilter can be covered with any stain or varnish, water-based or solvent-based, with one or two components.

• On formerly painted or stained wood :

1. Strip the wood with DSP 800* (refer to the latter's technical data sheet).
2. Let the wood dry well before applying owafilter if rinsing with water.
3. Apply a layer of owafilter.
4. Let dry 4-6 hours before applying the finish.
5. For a better finish, eliminate any rising fibers by ultra-fine ginning (400).
6. Owafilter can be covered with any stain or varnish, water-based or solvent-based, with one or two components.

Destination :

• Outdoor use.
• All wood.
• Ideal on tannic, hardwood and resinous woods.
• Can also be used indoors to limit yellowing and browning of light woods: Pine, Spruce, Larch...
