Marine strip - Paint, antifouling and varnish remover - Owatrol

Easily remove all traces of residue with Marine Strip Remover. It guarantees a more resistant support and better adhesion of the new coating .

Quick and effective, it softens the coating to be removed ( paints, varnishes, glues, etc.) then rinses effortlessly to leave you with a clean surface ready to be repainted. Ideal for your DIY and home staging work.

Properties :

• Gelled formula in aqueous phase, does not flow. Without solvent or paraffin. Non-flammable.
• Makes the coating water soluble. Avoid any tedious scraping.
• Non-volatile, does not dry out and remains active for a long time.
• Removes several layers in a single application (leave it on for several hours).
• Allows the wood to be completely exposed** because it also eliminates the stains impregnated in the wood.
• Does not attack plastics, rubbers, synthetic coatings and healthy gelcoats.
• Ideal for large surfaces or elaborate supports.

Application :

1. Apply a thick layer of MARINE STRIP over the entire surface to be stripped.
2. Leave the product to act according to the indicative table below.
3. If it dries, reactivate with a fine spray of water.
4. When the coating is ready to be removed, rinse with plenty of water using a jet while brushing (synthetic brush) or using a high pressure cleaner (max 50 bars).
5. On wet wood, immediately after rinsing, neutralize with DECK CLEANER.
   If necessary, lightly sand the dry wood (grain 100 max) to even out the surface before the new finish.
   Using hot water makes removing the coating easier.

Yield per layer

Stains, paints, glycerophthalic varnishes: 15 to 20 minutes per layer to be stripped.

Stains, paints, acrylic varnishes: Carry out a systematic test on a small surface to determine the action time of MARINE STRIP.

Antifoulings: Leave to act for at least 12 hours.

Destination :

• Exterior because requires rinsing with plenty of water.
• Applies to wood**, metal**, plastic, gelcoat... Vertical and horizontal surfaces.
• Strips varnishes, stains, paints based on fatty binders, glycerophthalic/alkyds, urethane alkyds, as well as antifoulings. Not suitable and ineffective on two-components, epoxy, polyurethanes, quick-drying finishes.
