Sikaflex-11 FC Purform is a one-component adhesive and sealant that hardens under the influence of moisture.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

The product is used for bonding as well as filling joints indoors and outdoors.
It has good and durable adhesion to most building materials.

Application

Procedure for gluing

1. After the necessary preparation of the support, prepare the end of the cartridge/package before or after inserting it into the gun, then attach the nozzle.
2. Apply in triangular cords, strips or dots a few centimeters apart.
3. Use only manual pressure to position the items to be glued, and do so before a skin forms on the glue.
4. An incorrectly positioned item can be easily removed and then repositioned during the first few minutes after application.
5. If necessary, temporarily use adhesive tape, shims or supports to hold the assembled components together at the beginning of the glue curing.
   Fresh, unhardened glue remaining on the surface must be removed immediately.
   The final strength will be achieved after the complete hardening of Sikaflex- 11 FC Purform, i.e. after 24 to 48 hours at 23 °C, depending on environmental conditions and the thickness of the adhesive layer.

Procedure for grouting

1. Prepare the end of the cartridge/package before or after inserting it into the gun, then attach the nozzle.
2. Extrude Sikaflex-11 FC Purform into the joint, ensuring that it makes full contact with the sides of the joint and avoiding any inclusion of air bubbles.

The minimum joint width for joints around windows is 10 mm.

Consumption depends on the roughness and degree of absorption of the substrate.
These values are theoretical and do not take into account higher consumption due to porosity and surface profile, level differences and product losses, etc.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Sikaflex-11 FC and Sikaflex-11 FC Purform?
   The Purform version is newer, safer, with an improved formula. Virtually free of free isocyanates, reduced emissions (EC1 PLUS), better long-term durability, enhanced mechanical performance.
2. Can Sikaflex-11 FC Purform be used underwater?
   No, the product is water resistant after polymerization, but should not be applied directly underwater.
3. Can I paint over the sealant after application?
   Yes, once the skin has formed or after complete hardening. A test is recommended to check paint compatibility.
4. Is the product suitable for bonding natural stone?
   Yes, but some sensitive stones may develop stains. Test a small area first or seek advice on a suitable primer.
5. At what temperature can it be used?
   Application temperature: +5°C to +40°C. Service resistance: -40°C to +80°C (occasionally +90°C).
6. Can it glue metal onto concrete?
   Yes, that's one of its most common uses.
7. How long does it take to dry?
   Skin formation, 30–60 minutes. Polymerization, approximately 3 mm/24 h. Time depends on humidity and temperature.
8. Is it compatible with PVC?
   Yes, with rigid PVC.
9. Can it be used for a parquet floor joint?
   Not recommended for expansion joints in floating floors. A specific sealant (SikaBond or SikaFlex parquet) is preferable.
