Akepox 2040 - Construction glue - Akemi

Pasty 2-component construction adhesive for vertical bonding in construction , for leveling major unevenness in natural and artificial stone.

Ideal for modeling and for bonding tiles.
Very good adhesion on wet stones , aluminum and other metals.

Features :

• Very little shrinkage during hardening and minimal tension of the adhesive layer
• Particularly weather-resistant bonding
• Good heat stability: around 60 - 70°C for loaded bonds and around 100 - 110°C for standard bonds
• No deformation of the glue layer
• Low tendency to fatigue
• Very good resistance to alkalis, and therefore recommended for bonding to concrete
• Recommended on gas-tight materials, due to the absence of solvent
• Good electrical insulation
• Good grip on slightly damp stones
• Recommended for materials sensitive to solvents, such as expanded polystyrene, ABS
• The product does not tend to crystallize, so no storage problem and good safety in use
• Mix ratio 2:1

Use :

1. Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be treated and roughen them slightly.
2. Mix 2 equivalents in weight or volume of adhesive with 1 equivalent in weight or volume of hardener, until obtaining a homogeneous color.
3. The product can be colored using AKEPOX dyes or concentrates (maximum incorporation 5%).
4. Mixture handling time is approx. 45 to 55 minutes (20°C).
   The bonded parts can be handled after 6 to 8 hours (20°C), loadable and machined after 12 to 16 hours (20°C).
   Maximum resistance after 7 days (at 20°C).
5. Work tools can be cleaned with AKEMI NitroDiluant.
6. Heat accelerates and cold slows hardening.
