Thin acoustic underlay for insulating laminate or floating hard flooring . It reduces the transmission of impact noise between floors and decreases footstep noise in the space where it is installed.

Composition :

Insulparq 2+ consists of a high-density, closed-cell polyolefin foam covered with an aluminized protective film with a thin, self-adhesive flap. It protects parquet flooring from rising damp .

This undercoat is produced without CFCs or HCFCs and contains no harmful substances.

Facility :

1 - Unroll insulParq 2+ edge to edge.

2 - Remove the protective strip from the integrated double-sided sticker.

3 - Move the insulParq 2+ up onto the walls.

4 - Lay the parquet flooring, leaving the edges up at the baseboard.

5 - Cut off the excess insulParq 2+.

6 - Fix the skirting board a few millimeters above the parquet floor and create a flexible joint.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is the InsulParq 2+ suitable for solid wood flooring?
   It is designed primarily for floating and laminate flooring. For glued solid wood flooring, an underlay suitable for glued installation is recommended.
2. Can it be used with underfloor heating?
   Yes, the InsulParq 2+ has low thermal resistance, making it compatible with hydraulic or electric (low temperature) underfloor heating systems.
3. Should a vapor barrier be added?
   If the installation is to be carried out on a cement screed or moisture-sensitive substrate, it is strongly recommended to use a 200 micron vapor barrier before the underlay.
4. What is the difference compared to a standard 2mm underlay?
   InsulParq 2+ offers higher density, better sound insulation, and better compression resistance, which increases the lifespan of the parquet flooring.
5. How is the InsulParq 2+ installed?
   The subfloor must be clean, dry, and level. Unroll the underlayment or lay out the planks. Position the strips edge to edge (or overlapping depending on the model). Lay the floating floor directly on top.
6. Does this only improve impact noise?
   It primarily reduces impact noise (ΔLw), but can also slightly attenuate the transmission of ambient noise depending on the configuration.
7. What is its conditioning?
   Available in rolls or sheets, depending on the Insulco version. Typical sizes: 1 x 10 m / 1 x 15 m.
8. Can it be used on soil with small irregularities?
   Yes, up to a few millimeters. For larger irregularities, leveling is recommended.
9. Is it suitable for professional use?
   Yes, thanks to its high compression resistance, it is perfectly suited to environments with regular or even heavy traffic.
