WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti - Anti-graffiti protection - Guard Industrie

WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti is a new generation product for the protection and decoration of raw or renovated wooden cladding and vertical elements.
Composed of mineral pigments , it gives the wood a nuanced decorative color.

A two-component product, it penetrates all the fibers of the wood to protect it sustainably against graffiti , tags of all kinds (paints, markers, etc.), humidity , grease, and stains.
It withstands dozens of cleanings and therefore does not need to be re-applied after removing graffiti.

It is a semi-transparent impregnation stain which does not distort the structure or the natural appearance of the wood (grains, fibers, etc.).
WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti delays the aging of wood, makes it easier to maintain and keeps it looking new and clean for much longer.

Implementation

Preparation of the support

1. New wood: apply the product to clean, dust-free, healthy and dry wood.
2. Gray or oily wood: clean with WoodGuard Conditioner, dust, rinse thoroughly and dry the wood.
3. Damaged wood: sand to expose it, then dust and dry the wood.
4. For a better result, sand with a fine grain before application and vacuum up all sanding residue to ensure the product penetrates well, otherwise it will peel off later.
5. Always prepare the wood according to the DTU in force.
6. Ensure that the support has all the guarantees of good durability.
7. Products from the WoodGuard and WoodGuard Color ranges do not have the capacity to prevent wood from splitting if it is subjected to excessive variations in humidity.
   This is why it is recommended to apply our products when the wood has reached a low hygroscopic balance.
   This state can be measured easily because it corresponds to the moment when the width of the wood is as small as possible, often less than the original width.

Preparation of the mixture

1. Do not apply in rainy weather or in very high heat.
   Ideal air and support temperature 10°C to 30°C.
2. Carry out a preliminary test on a small, inconspicuous surface and leave to dry for 24 hours, particularly on oily wood, exotic wood, oak and walnut. Check adhesion.
3. Shake product A (base) well before use.
4. Slowly add part B (hardener) to part A (base) of WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti while stirring.
   Stir at moderate speed using an electric mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (approximately 5 to 15 minutes depending on the quantity).
5. Allow the mixture to degas for 15 to 30 minutes in the open air then stir again for 1 minute before use.
6. The mixture thus prepared can be used for 4 hours at an ambient temperature below 25°C.
   If the temperature is higher the usage time will be reduced.
   Do not use the mixture after this time.

Application of the 1st layer

1. Apply WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti diluted with 5 to 10% water maximum.
   Mix well.
   The first layer should be considered as an impression intended both to impregnate the wood and to promote adhesion of the next layer.
2. Apply without overloading to avoid the appearance of a thick, non-breathable film.
3. Leave to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour at 20°C. The support must be dry and non-sticky before it can be reworked.
4. Perform a sanding before the second layer to improve the result.

Application of the 2nd layer

1. Apply the second coat without overdoing using WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti undiluted.
2. If a third coat is necessary, follow the procedure described above. Wait for complete drying before applying any additional coats.
3. Protect from rain for 24 hours and from greasy dirt for at least 48 hours.
4. Optimal effectiveness obtained after 5 to 7 days.

Application tools

For better control and perfect control of the result, apply WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti preferably using an air-assisted sprayer.
Application by brush is also possible.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the porosity of the wood.
