WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti - Anti-graffiti protection - Guard Industrie

WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti is a new generation product for the protection and decoration of raw or renovated wood cladding and vertical elements.
Composed of mineral pigments , it allows the wood to be given a decorative color with subtle nuances.

This two-component product penetrates all the wood fibers to provide lasting protection against graffiti , tags of all kinds (paints, markers…), moisture , grease, and stains.
It withstands dozens of cleanings and therefore does not need to be reapplied after graffiti removal.

It is a semi-transparent impregnating stain that does not alter the structure or the natural appearance of the wood (grain, fibers, etc.).
WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti delays the aging of wood, makes maintenance easier and helps to keep its new and clean appearance much longer.

Implementation

Preparing the support

1. New wood: apply the product to clean, dust-free, sound and dry wood.
2. Grey or greasy wood: clean with WoodGuard Revitalizer, dust off, rinse thoroughly and dry the wood.
3. Damaged wood: sand to expose the bare wood, then dust and dry the wood.
4. For best results, sand with a fine grit before application and vacuum up all sanding residue to ensure the product penetrates well, otherwise peeling may occur later.
5. Always prepare the wood according to the applicable DTU standards.
6. Ensure that the support offers all the guarantees of good durability.
7. The products in the WoodGuard and WoodGuard Color ranges do not have the ability to prevent wood from splitting if it is subjected to excessive variations in humidity.
   Therefore, it is advisable to apply our products when the wood has reached a low hygroscopic balance.
   This state can be easily measured because it corresponds to the moment when the width of the wood is the smallest possible, often less than the original width.

Preparing the mixture

1. Do not apply in rainy weather or very hot conditions.
   Ideal air and substrate temperature 10°C to 30°C.
2. Test first on a small, inconspicuous area and allow to dry for 24 hours, especially on oily woods, exotic woods, oak and walnut. Check adhesion.
3. Shake product A (base) well before use.
4. Slowly add part B (hardener) to part A (base) of WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti while stirring.
   Mix at moderate speed using an electric mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (approximately 5 to 15 minutes depending on the quantity).
5. Allow the mixture to degas for 15 to 30 minutes in open air, then stir again for 1 minute before use.
6. The mixture thus prepared can be used for 4 hours at an ambient temperature below 25°C.
   If the temperature is higher, the usage time will be reduced.
   Do not use the mixture after this time has elapsed.

Application of the first layer

1. Apply WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti diluted with a maximum of 5 to 10% water.
   Mix well.
   The first coat should be considered as a primer intended both to impregnate the wood and to promote the adhesion of the next coat.
2. Apply sparingly to avoid the formation of a thick, non-breathable film.
3. Allow to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour at 20°C. The surface must be dry and non-sticky before it can be worked on again.
4. Lightly sand before applying the second coat to improve the finish.

Applying the second layer

1. Apply the second coat without overloading, using undiluted WoodGuard Colour AntiGraffiti.
2. If a third coat is required, follow the procedure described above. Allow to dry completely before applying any additional coats.
3. Protect from rain for 24 hours and from greasy dirt for a minimum of 48 hours.
4. Optimal effectiveness achieved after 5 to 7 days.

Application tools

For better control and perfect mastery of the finish, apply WoodGuard Color AntiGraffiti preferably using an air-assisted sprayer.
Application with a brush is also possible.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the porosity of the wood.

The values below are given for guidance purposes only:
130 to 265 g/m² for 2 coats
