Symosol - Mortar based on synthetic resins - Zep Industries

Mortar based on synthetic resins contains no solvent or water and does not shrink after drying.

Properties :

• Excellent mechanical resistance.
• Very high hardness combined with great flexibility.
• Resistant to forklift traffic.
• Can be painted over with most paints.
• Colour after drying: cement grey.

Applications:

Very rapid polymerization allowing the floor to be put back into service two hours after the intervention.
Repair of chips, potholes, crumbling, cracks, spalling on horizontal surfaces of concrete, cement or derivative structures.
Fixing gate stops, stair nosings, small hooks, etc. to horizontal surfaces.

Instructions for use:

Preparation of the supports:

1. The substrates must be cohesive, strong, clean and dry.
   If necessary, dust it off.
2. For a surface soiled with grease, degrease the surface using CK 18 diluted at 1 part to 5 parts water.
3. Brush, leave to act, rinse with pressurized water.
4. Allow to dry before applying the mortar.
   The temperature of the substrate must be between +1°C and a maximum of 30°C.

Primary application:

1. Apply the primer with a brush.
2. Allow to dry for 15 to 20 minutes at 18°C, longer if the temperature is lower.

Mortar application:

1. For repairs up to 12 mm thick:
   Thoroughly mix the hardening binder and aggregates.
2. For repairs of 13 to 30 mm thickness:
   You must add to the mixture 2 kg (40% of the mixture) of dry siliceous gravel with a diameter of 4 to 10 mm.
3. For repairs exceeding 30 mm in thickness:
   Add to the mixture 4 kg (80% of the mixture) of dry siliceous gravel with a diameter of 6 to 12 mm.
   Apply the mortar within 8 to 10 minutes at room temperature, using a trowel or metal float, taking care to compact it.
