FLEXcement comfort - Flexible, lightweight tile adhesive - PTB Compaktuna

FLEXcement comfort is a dry composition which gives a light, easy-to-work glue with great “ flexibility ”, ready for use by the simple addition of water.

FLEXcement COMFORT not only covers the field of traditional cement glues and paste glues, but guarantees numerous applications where these products can no longer provide solutions.

FLEXcement COMFORT allows the bonding of the following materials, both indoors and outdoors : earthenware, ceramics, mosaics, etc., and on a support such as concrete, masonry, cemented surfaces, cellular concrete, stable wood chip boards (interior), veneers (interior), etc.
Even bonding tiles to tiles is possible with FLEXcement COMFORT (interior).

Features :

• Extraordinary adhesion that far exceeds that of traditional adhesive cements.
• Remarkable elasticity that traditional adhesive cements do not have.
  FLEXcement COMFORT has increased resistance to shear stress.
  FLEXcement COMFORT can therefore economically replace pasty glues.
• A set of qualities that provides a solution in difficult cases. FLEXcement COMFORT provides, for example, a solution in the many applications of bonding tiles to a tile support (interior only).
• The incorporation of a light load makes FLEXcement COMFORT light, easy to work with very good resistance to vertical sliding.
  The tiles can be adjusted easily. You can also work with variable glue thickness.
  This makes FLEXcement COMFORT an adhesive very suitable for large format tiles (XL tiles), also against the wall. Provided they are installed according to professional standards, tiles measuring 1 x 1 m can be glued with FLEXcement COMFORT.
• A 15 kg bag of FLEXcement COMFORT corresponds in consumption to a 25 kg bag of conventional glue, which saves on transport and for the construction itself.

Manual :

1. The application will always be carried out on a stable, clean, healthy support, free of dust and traces of oil.
   Supports with high absorption are pre-impregnated with a solution of COMPAKTUNA (PRO)/water (1/4) or PRIMER PO.
2. The panels serving as support must always be securely fixed before starting to place the tiles.
3. FLEXcement COMFORT should be mixed with approximately 54% water, i.e. ±8.10 L of water on 15 kg of product. (or 58% water for use as fluid glue).
4. The powder is added to water by mixing.
   All this happens in a narrow tank.
5. It is recommended to completely immerse the blender in the powder.
6. After careful mixing, let the glue thus obtained rest for 5 minutes.
7. Then the glue must be mixed intensively again. The mortar is now ready for use.
8. The support is first covered with a thin layer of mortar using a trowel or a notched spatula.
   This layer must be well packed.
9. Immediately afterwards a second layer is applied which is divided into regular grooves using a notched spatula (notched spatula 4 to 20 mm).
10. Then the slabs are laid with a small rotating movement and firmly packed.
11. The open time of the applied layer depends on the working conditions and the support.
12. Grouting is only carried out when the glue is sufficiently resistant (wait at least 24 hours, depending on the temperature and atmospheric humidity).

Consumption :

±0.8 kg/mm/m² powder.

Mix ratio:

±8.1 L mixing liquid per bag (±54%) leveling mortar, thick setting adhesive and thin setting adhesive, ±8.7 L mixing liquid per bag (±58%) (adhesive fluid)

Conditioning :
