Application

1. After the necessary preparation of the substrate, apply Sikaflex-118 Extreme Grab in triangular beads, respecting a distance of a few centimeters between the beads.
2. Use only manual pressure to position the object to be glued, before skin formation.
3. An incorrectly positioned object can quickly be detached and repositioned within the first few minutes after application.
4. If necessary, use tape or wedges to hold the assembled objects in place during the first few hours of hardening.
5. Remove any remaining fresh, unhardened glue immediately.
6. Final adhesion will be achieved after complete hardening of Sikaflex-118 Extreme Grab, i.e. after 24 to 48 hours at +23 °C, depending on ambient conditions and glue thickness.

1. Can heavy objects be glued without mechanical fastening?
   Yes, that's precisely the characteristic of this adhesive. Very strong initial adhesion, allowing it to support heavy loads without shoring. However, check the weight and the bonding area.
2. Can natural stone be glued?
   Yes, SikaFlex-118 Extreme Grab does not alter natural stone and offers excellent adhesion on limestone, granite, marble, etc.
3. Can the glue be used outdoors?
   Yes, it is weather-resistant, moisture-resistant, and UV-resistant. However, the bonding must be carried out under good conditions (no rain during the initial drying time).
4. Is it compatible with wet surfaces?
   The surface must be dry to ensure optimal adhesion. For slightly damp surfaces, it is recommended to check the adhesion beforehand.
5. Can you paint the glue?
   Yes, the glue can be painted with most paints once it has hardened. It's best to do a test first.
6. What is the difference between this and a classic mounting adhesive?
   SikaFlex-118 Extreme Grab offers 10 to 20 times stronger adhesion immediately upon application. Increased versatility. Premium EC1 PLUS formulation. Improved mechanical strength after curing.
7. Can it be used to glue mirrors?
   Yes, but only for MP-Hybrid compatible mirrors. Check with the mirror manufacturer.
8. Which gun should I use?
   A professional glue gun is recommended. The glue is thick to ensure a secure grip.
   A standard pistol might work, but with more effort.
9. How many square meters can be covered with one cartridge?
   Approximately 2 to 3 linear meters of thick cords, or 0.2–0.3 m² depending on the application method.
10. Does the product contain solvents?
    No, the product is solvent-free, classified EC1 PLUS for very low emissions.
