SikaHyflex-402 connection - High quality joint sealant EC 1 PLUS - Sika

SikaHyflex-402 Connection is a one-component, moisture-curing, elastic sealant used to seal many types of joint configurations.

It does not require a primer and has good adhesion to most building materials.
SikaHyflex-402 Connection provides a watertight joint with good mechanical properties, and remains elastic over a wide temperature range and can be painted.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions.

Application

1. The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, and free from all types of contamination such as dirt, oil, grease, laitance, old mastics and poorly or non-adherent coatings which can negatively influence the adhesion of the sealant.
2. The substrate must be strong enough to withstand the stresses caused by the sealant during joint movement. D
3. Removal techniques such as wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting or other suitable mechanical tools may be used.
4. Before applying any activator, primer or sealant, all dust and loose, non-adherent material must be completely removed from all surfaces.
5. Where joints have been ground, after grinding, all suspended materials must be rinsed off and the joint surfaces allowed to dry.
6. SikaHyflex-402 Connection adheres without primers and/or activators.
