HQE Approach - Environment

Build lanes and access, a building, light it up, heat it, maintain it, demolish it at the end of its life ... The life cycle of a book generates

significant impacts on the environment.

Examples include:

  • noise and dust on site can be an inconvenience to the neighbourhood,
  • 40% of France's energy consumption is linked to buildings.

The HQE® (High Environmental Quality) approach has been developed to anticipate and build a structure or construction by reducing the environmental impacts it generates while optimizing comfort and health criteria for occupants.

ACV - Product Life Cycle Analysis

The products have a life cycle. The life of a product is divided into five successive phases, from the acquisition of raw materials to its disposal at the end of its life or Recovery Potential.

The life cycle approach allows you to assess the environmental quality of a product over its entire lifespan, divided into five phases.

TheLife Cycle Analysis (LCA) a product is to quantify the levels of the
environmental impacts generated and to establish an estimated balance sheet. This assessment is included in the Product's Environmental and Health Statement Sheet (FDES).

FDES ...

Make a product, transport it, implement it, destroy it or recycle it at the end of its life ... The life cycle of a product generates impacts on the environment.

Examples include:

  • transporting raw materials or products has an impact on resource consumption
    energy, air and soil pollution,
  • some products require extensive maintenance to ensure their sustainability.

To find out, only a scientific approach can be used to objectively tell if a product is good for the environment. The Environmental and Health Statement Sheets (FDES) Have developed to allow book designers to to make the best choice of product from a scientific environmental and health "passport".

An FDES objectively provides numerical or qualitative indicators of the impacts generated by the product throughout its life cycle. It is carried out in accordance with the NF P 01-010.

COMPENSATION CO2

In order to participate and partially offset the CO2 emissions of transport, we are currently implementing a policy to offset CO2 emissions, see HERE.

This desire to participate in the global climate effort can only be put in place with the acceptance of our customers.
