Sika FerroGard-903 Plus is a surface-applied mixed corrosion inhibitor designed for use as an impregnation of reinforced concrete .

Areas of application

• For corrosion protection of reinforced concrete structures, above and below ground.
• As a corrosion control treatment for undamaged reinforced concrete when the reinforcing steel corrodes or if the concrete is exposed to a risk of corrosion due to carbonation or chloride contamination.
• Sika FerroGard-903 Plus is particularly suitable for extending the service life of exposed concrete surfaces with aesthetic value, for example on historical buildings and architectural concrete.

Application

1. Sika FerroGard-903 Plus is supplied ready to use and does not need to be diluted. Do not shake the product before use.
2. Sika FerroGard-903 Plus must be applied until saturation by brush, roller, low pressure or airless system.
3. After applying the last coat, as soon as the surface becomes matte, clean with low-pressure water (water hose).
4. The day after application, the treated surfaces must be cleaned by high-pressure washing (10 MPa – 100 bars) in order to remove all traces of soluble salts that may have been deposited on the surface.

Consumption

As a general rule: ~ 0.500 kg/m² (~ 480 ml/m²).
For very dense concrete with low permeability, the application rate of Sika FerroGard-903 Plus can be reduced, but not less than 0.300 kg/m² (290 ml/m²).
