Epoxy remover - Akemi

Used to remove the remains of epoxy grouting mortar on the basis of epoxy resin , sealants, glues and other dirt.

Since the product does not contain acid, it can be used on natural stones , such as limestone or basalt , both of which are acid-sensitive materials.
Its consistency is gel -like, so it can be used very well on vertical surfaces.

Features :

• Very good ability to puff and corrode epoxy and synthetic resin films
• Very good application also on inclined surfaces due to its liquid to slightly thick consistency
• Easy removal with water jet and brush
• Yield: approx. 1 - 10 m²/litre, depending on the nature of the surface.

Use :

1. The support must be dry.
2. Optimum operating temperature 10 - 30°C; avoid direct sunlight. Protect surfaces from rain during application.
3. Stir well before use.
4. Before work, carry out a test on a small surface in order to check the consumption, the reaction and the effectiveness of the product.
5. Apply the product evenly with an alkali and solvent resistant brush, push broom or roller.
   Tools with natural bristles are less suitable, as the bristles become soft after a short time.
6. When the stones have just been laid (1 to 5 days) the product acts in 30 to 60 minutes.
   For older or difficult epoxy stains, the action time is 4 to 6 hours, but care must be taken not to let the product dry out and therefore moisten it when reapplying it.
   Brush every 10 to 20 minutes.
7. Carefully remove softened layers with a Karcher or a jet of water and a brush or push broom.
   Always brush diagonally to the joint. Dispose of the remaining water according to the regulations in force.
8. Rinse with plenty of water.
9. A second cleaning process may be necessary in case of intensive or heavy soiling.
